Explanation of FKA carb rule:
All of the technical measurements and No Go's on the flathead carburetor still apply, However, We have done away with the ridiculous "Finger Check" on the eyebrow or transfer edge in the airhorn. For you that don't know, cnc machines can move the edge forward with a slight radius (angle) giving tremendous advantage. Remember Airflow=Horsepower! Then there's the person that slightly massages this edge (removes material) which increases Air Flow but yet the tech guy still determines it has an edge (another tech person may disagree), remember by the rule you CAN NOT touch this edge. Don't be naive, if your not massaging the eyebrow (transfer edge in airhorn) a little (kinda like being a little pregnant I guess!) your not going to fare well against the competition!
FKA's carb rule for this area: . Reference Briggs 5hp 397135 service carburetor: No visual tech on transfer edge ( that edge where airhorn turns to meet Venturi ) NOTE: NO GO 1.011 to be checked from top of Air Horn and bottom of Air Horn.
Now the playing field is equal, the competition has no advantage in this area, this makes it fair for all!

See you at the races.
